I try to have a snoop around the Topshop Oxford Circus store at least once a week.  Often just ten minutes scanning the Toppers rails can inspire a week’s worth of stories for the magazine!  This week I actually made it into the store a record breaking three times.  Here’s a Topshop update:

– Those Emma Cook for Topshop boots have hit the shelves and sold out again ALREADY.  I desperately wanted a black pair this time around (they are re-issue and first went on sale last year) and I can’t believe they sold out so darn speedily!  I nearly caved and bought the last pair of salmon pink size fives but managed to walk away.  Definitely not my colour.

Love magazine and Topshop have teamed up for a competition to win a guest style advisor session with Love fashion editor Victoria Young.  Pick up a postcard in store for more details.

– Topshop boss Philip Green does actually walk the shop floor to check up on things.  I saw him in store on Wednesday evening with his daughter and overheard him moan that the shoe area was ‘a mess’.  Wouldn’t want to be the floor manager in charge that day!  I wish that I had introduced myself now.  Really wanted to ask him what his credit crunch busting tips are, he’s such a great businessman that he must have a few wise words to share on the matter.  Needless to say, I chickened out.

– Their new super soft, super stretchy, could-be-leggings skinny jeans totally top any other Topshop jeans I’ve ever owned.  Still seriously shocked how comfortable they are.  Buy yours here.

Over and out.
