I try to have a snoop around the Topshop Oxford Circus store at least once a week. Â Often just ten minutes scanning the Toppers rails can inspire a week’s worth of stories for the magazine! Â This week I actually made it into the store a record breaking three times. Â Here’s a Topshop update:
– Those Emma Cook for Topshop boots have hit the shelves and sold out again ALREADY. Â I desperately wanted a black pair this time around (they are re-issue and first went on sale last year) and I can’t believe they sold out so darn speedily! Â I nearly caved and bought the last pair of salmon pink size fives but managed to walk away. Â Definitely not my colour.
– Love magazine and Topshop have teamed up for a competition to win a guest style advisor session with Love fashion editor Victoria Young. Â Pick up a postcard in store for more details.
– Topshop boss Philip Green does actually walk the shop floor to check up on things. Â I saw him in store on Wednesday evening with his daughter and overheard him moan that the shoe area was ‘a mess’. Â Wouldn’t want to be the floor manager in charge that day! Â I wish that I had introduced myself now. Â Really wanted to ask him what his credit crunch busting tips are, he’s such a great businessman that he must have a few wise words to share on the matter. Â Needless to say, I chickened out.
– Their new super soft, super stretchy, could-be-leggings skinny jeans totally top any other Topshop jeans I’ve ever owned. Â Still seriously shocked how comfortable they are. Â Buy yours here.
Over and out.
