My proper summer holiday isn’t until the end of the year, and that’s just too long to wait for some beach action in my book, so I headed to Devon on the south coast of England for some sand, sun and surf.

If you haven’t been down that way before, I’d totally recommend it. We camped in the sleepy village of Bantham, in a farmers field (we payed him £10 a night) and spent most of our time on this beautiful beach, taking in the fresh sea air and making the most of Britain’s beautiful coastal line.

The island you can see in the background is Burgh Island, definitely head over there for a walk if you have the time, there’s also a great hotel on the island, FYI.

To my beach kit, and Jaded London’s captivating jewel prints. I have a Jaded bikini and matching sweater, as you need a little extra warmth on these British beaches after an hour or so in the sea. The bikini bottoms are available in low hipster and high waisted cuts.

Make sure you pack a few long sleeve t-shirts too. If it’s sunny, you can wear them in the water to avoid the rays, and when it’s a bit nippy, they’re great for layering up. I have this Hype one in grey/blue and white/blue.

I couldn’t believe it when I discovered a rash vest at Tesco’s for only £14! It comes in a great rainbow geometric print and I love how it looks more like a fashion item than activewear.

The sunset and view from Higher Aunemouth Farm is one of a kind.
