Autumn/Winter 2009 Press Day Round Up

Here’s a round up of yesterday’s Autumn/Winter 2009 press day highlights. Warehouse are working the heavy embellished look for next season. I’d love their beaded drawstring pouch bag for the festival season, such a shame it’s not going in stores until autumn! Other pieces I’m looking forward to include the mirrored mosaic neck plate, black and white tie-dye leggings, stud plastered miniskirt and long sleeve top with decorative shoulders.

River Island have the best shoe designs I’ve seen so far. Their accessory trends are really strong at the moment and it looks like that will be continuing through to autumn/winter by the looks of these shoes and bags! Plenty of laser cut lace up shoe boots to choose from and one patchwork clutch bag with rose applique detail that’s got ‘sell-out’ stamped all over it. I think this is one of their best collections yet. Also, look forward to power shoulders, heavy knits and over sized tweed jackets. Plus, the teddy bear beanie hat was a definite highlight. Cute!

Dune’s Gucci inspired courts are to die for. Love the black pair with the little tassels, I’d wear them with a pair of chino trousers and a boyfriend blazer. Thought I’d take a picture of the clutch bag because the beading is so intricate and it really does look super designery in real life.
