At the weekend I went on a pretty fantastic trip to Wilderness Festival with Mulberry.
Celebrating the launch of the new Cara Delevingne handbag collection, we started off at Claridge’s French Saloon where brioche bacon butties were served up, before heading on buses to Oxfordshire’s Cornbury Park for the festival.
Arriving at our boutique lodges to set up camp for the night along with thespians Gemma Chan, Douglas Booth and Holliday Grainger, it was a quick dash getting ready for the main event – The Mulberry Walled Garden Picnic hosted by Cara Delevingne.
The lovely Gemma Chan (below) told me how much she was a fan of Cara and her backpacks.
For the Mulberry picnic I wore a Topshop camisole dress, a Topshop mohair and wool jumper, Michael Kors across body bag and Vans trainers. My metallic Ilse Jacobsen rain coat and wellies were wet weather saviours in the temperamental British climate.
The picnic itself was absolutely stunning. Haystack benches, Mulberry checked and floral picnic blankets and jenga. Gold heart shaped Mulberry balloons were peppered throughout the garden too.
The lunch of dreams arrived courtesy of young British foodie chef Giles Clark. His picnic of roasted cobnuts, dressed crab and celery heart sandwiches and pressed cucumber juice was delicious.
I chatted to Cara Delevingne about her new handbag collection, she explained how important it was for her to design something cool but practical to fit in with her busy lifestyle.
Later, at the Mulberry Loves Craft tent I had a lesson in bracelet making, and heard all about how the talented Mulberry leather makers put together the classic Bayswater handbag.
Below, my Mulberry orange bracelet and amazing new Daisy Jewellery festival bracelet, embossed with my initials. I’ve had so may compliments on this already. It’s inspired by the traditional festival wristband, but is way chicer.
