I recently set myself a wardrobe challenge. To take a few trends I’d been avoiding – jumpsuits, kitten heels, co-ords and so on – and work them into my everyday wardrobe. First up, the jumpsuit.

This black number, by cool new Australian label The Fifth seemed a great place to start. They focus on tailoring for the contemporary woman, resulting in pieces with great silhouettes, that are expertly cut for work to evening ease.

The pockets, cool halter neck and slightly baggy leg keeps thing modern, while the smart fabric means I’m comfortable in it in a meeting.

Above, at the Scottish Fashion Awards, I styled it with statement Kat Maconie heels and a Modalu clutch bag for a black tie spin.

Below, sporty slip-on trainers make it an easy piece for the morning commute.
