Weekend Layer Up

What’s with the weather? I’ve resorted to light layers that can be added and peeled off as and when the rain pours, wind blows or sun shines (pretty please England). A lightweight khaki jacket is a great way to go, the colour works with everything and it’s not at all bulky so you’ll pretty much keep it on all day. Lift simple jeans and shirt formulas with jazzy add-ons, like this multicoloured tassel trimmed scarf (LOVE) and holiday-worthy suede espadrilles.

Minimalist Trainer Focus

I’ve been known to plan a whole outfit around one pair of trainers. Rushing around various appointments requires comfortable footwear, and now that trainers have lost their scruffy, casual connotations, they’re the perfect shoe choice for day long strolling. These Adidas Superstar’s are the perfect balance of clean and colour pop, I can’t get enough of the red stripes.

Mirrored Shades Moment

Up until this summer I was a complete Ray-Ban addict. I’d only be seen in Ray-Ban’s classic shapes – the Wayfarer or Clubmaster – but recently I’ve been gravitating towards other fun styles too. Particularly colourful, mirrored and polarised lenses. I just love them, it’s the holiday appeal, they’re spot on for poolside, statement making for festivals and always turn heads in the city. These Taylor Morris Voyager’s are ace.

Boho City Glamour

Nothing screams summer quite like a bohemian peasant blouse. This Joules find, in a super soft chambray fabric, is beautifully embroidered and embellished, with tassels to finish. Opting for a fringed jean mirrors the care-free vibe and lifts a laid back top into work territory. Office’s two-strap sandals are a staple right now, so comfy and smart.

Power Pink Shades

Injecting a big hit of fun into my summer wardrobe, these Finlay and Co shades are the sweetest shade of popping pink, and the mirrored lens creates a real statement. The frames are a very lightweight ebony wood, which I really love as it’s so different. All my other sunglasses are metal frames so these make a real change.
