During Paris Fashion Week H&M put on their first catwalk show in eight years dedicated to their mainline. Presenting ‘drama with a tomboy spirit’ the autumn/winter 2013 line includes tailcoats, quilted leather trousers, velvet peak caps and knee high boots.

“We wanted a very versatile collection that can be mixed and matched,” Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design told me. “We are very proud of the line. There has been a lot of focus on our designer collaborations and with so many talented designers and buyers within the company wanted to show our own designs.”

The setting: a candlelit path led to the Musee Rodin, Paris, which had been transformed into a grand mansion complete with dining hall, library, bathroom and kids bedroom
Following the catwalk show I had the chance to view the collection again. Here are some of the key pieces, newly added to my shopping list! In stores September.
