Bamford’s London showroom has to be the most inviting fashion and beauty space I’ve ever visited. A canvas of calming white sets the backdrop for cosy cashmere, light wool, robe coats, lounge tunics, hot water bottles, moss candles and amberwood body splashes.

Green and clear glass is such a simple way to make an interesting statement at home. I’m starting my own collection for the shelves in my sitting room.

Of course I couldn’t leave the showroom without at little trying on session.

My top Bamford wardrobe buys? Well the knitwear is  just too cosy for words. Bamford’s comfortable and luxurious sets look so chic worn together (a great alternative to a coat in the summer months) and are equally beautiful separated. Try a scarf with a biker jacket and the jumper with loose, silk palazzo pants.

The rest of the collection is similarly easy to wear. Layering is at the heart of this label, with the finest quality fabrics taking lead. Colours of heather, aubergine and khaki are key.

You would have spied Bamford’s bath and body line on the shelves of Liberty and Fortnum and Mason – that deep green packaging is so eye-catching.

I’m more than a little bit addicted to the Botanic shampoo and One evening body splash. The sweet pebble soaps are beautifully crafted into soft heart shapes, reminiscent of a pebble Lady Bamford picked up during a walk on the beach. The perfect gift.
